VISIT FLORIDA Promotions Manager

VISIT FLORIDA shares Florida sunshine with the world. As the state’s official tourism marketing organization, VISIT FLORIDA has been charged with selling an extraordinary vacation product since 1996. As part of our Promotions team, we're seeking a team-focused individual for our Promotions Manager role.

This role has the opportunity to be remote, but must be located in Florida.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate promotional opportunities with broadcast media and brand partners to drive media value and strengthen the VISIT FLORIDA brand. Lead the negotiation, execution, and recap of promotional campaigns.
  • Oversee the creative process for all promotional assets, ensuring strict alignment with VISIT FLORIDA brand standards.
  • Provide promotional partners with all necessary materials, including prize package details, approved messaging, and creative assets for both VISIT FLORIDA and our industry partners.
  • Manage the prize fulfillment process for campaigns, securing prize certificates from industry partners and distributing them to promotional partners.
  • Create and maintain accurate promotion records in Salesforce, monitor campaign performance, gather all required proof of performance, and prepare comprehensive post-campaign recaps for participating partners.
  • Establish and maintain strong, productive relationships with promotional partners and industry partners. Travel as necessary to build relationships, develop new opportunities, and deliver professional presentations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or related field.
  • 3+ years professional experience
  • Strong relationship-building skills. Ability to create and maintain relationships with media contacts, brand representatives, and other industry partners.
  • Ability to articulate benefits to potential and existing promotional partners. Strong sales mentality with the ability to reach media value goals in market.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Effective presentation skills and ability to represent VISIT FLORIDA at various events.
  • Position includes travel that requires a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and executing television promotional opportunities with broadcast media.

VISIT FLORIDA Travel Trade Manager

VISIT FLORIDA shares Florida sunshine with the world. As the state’s official tourism marketing organization, VISIT FLORIDA has been charged with selling an extraordinary vacation product since 1996. As part of our Travel Trade team, we’re seeking a dynamic and driven individual for our Travel Trade Manager role.

This position has the opportunity to be remote, but must be located in Florida. Preference to be located in our corporate office located in Tallahassee, FL.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage travel trade programs in domestic and international markets, including strategy development, budgeting, and execution of events. Oversee the agencies in planning of signature events, trainings, missions, familiarization trips, and tradeshows. Act as a liaison between agency offices and headquarters, reporting on results.
  • Manage and provide strategic and day to day direction to the Travel Trade team.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Florida destination Partners. Provide opportunities to showcase their destination through travel trade efforts.
  • Plan all aspects and represent VISIT FLORIDA at assigned trade shows, events, and conferences including Florida Huddle and IPW. Coordinate partner recruitment and participation, booth planning, and travel trade appointment scheduling. Assist in creation of travel trade communication plan, prepare briefing book and brief CEO, and deliver presentations.
  • Manage all budgetary elements for assigned projects. Ensure deliverables are clearly outlined, track results, and route invoices for payment. Assist in the ITN process for international contracts to include writing RPF, evaluating proposals, and contracting elements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or related field
  • 5+ years professional experience
  • 3+ years experience working with the travel trade market, with a focus in event planning and managing trade shows, conferences, familiarization trips, and other events
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with agencies, industry representatives, Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs) and VISIT FLORIDA Partners. Knowledge of travel trends and ability to showcase Florida destinations.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and agencies. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to represent VISIT FLORIDA at various industry meetings, events, trade shows, and conferences
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to identify audience and adjust message accordingly
  • Position includes travel that will require a valid driver's license and passport

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 + years of supervisory or leadership experience
