Take a leadership role in advancing tourism-related public policy initiatives

· Preserve and Defend the State’s investment in Florida Tourism to preserve the financial resources allocated to Florida Tourism Commissions

· Support efforts to increase investment in Tourism Promotion & Development from government and private resources

· Support the efforts of tax collectors to collect taxes due under the law.

· Facilitate member support to political candidate that supportive of tourism

Enhance professional development & education opportunities for FADMO members

· Enhance professional development offerings for FADMO members and their staffs.

· Create an informational media for member tourism boards

Enhance industry relations

· Build strong statewide coalitions within the tourism industry

· Build strong statewide coalitions with organizations that impact Florida’s economy.

· Become a proactive player within tourism marketing nationwide

Develop a research program to support FADMO advocacy and initiatives

· Collect research regarding the value of the tourism industry to Florida’s economy.

· Serve as a resource to members on Destination Marketing Association International Performance research and standardization initiatives.

· Create standard definitions the state tourism industry.

· Serve as a clearinghouse to aggregate industry research for use by FADMO members and partners
